I'm a photographer + videographer based in Chattanooga, TN with deeps roots in Alabama.
My interest in cameras began with my mom's 35mm film camera; we now own rolls and rolls of film featuring the azalea bushes beside our house and our border collie dressed in various kid outfits.
My formal education in photo + video began at Sewanee where I focused on documentary photography and used my camera as a tool to get to know people better. My favorite assignments were the simple ones: find a story; you have two days. Those words had me knocking on strangers' doors in nearby towns and getting to know people I otherwise would've never had the privilege of knowing.
I am continually drawn back to communities that helped shape me as a person; now these places serve as the beautiful backdrop of my photography. What began as a fun way to document the moments I held dear quickly became a service I wanted to provide-- one that would give creative voice to people and projects who have wonderful stories to share.
